Subject: Searching for another distro

Hello,

I am using Sabayon for a while, and I really like it (the hardware support, the looks etc), exept one thing: After updating my os, x server won't start, so I have to reinstall Sabayon. And I can't find the solution anywhere.

So I am searching for another distro, wich won't mess up my system. Does anyone know what a good distro is for me? (BTW I use Linux for more then a year, so I only have a little bit experience)

Try the most recent KDE LinuxMint. Yearling or not. I, being an ole hat, likes it for ease and "just works" -abililty.

Mepis 7.0 also works out of the box. So does Mandriva 2008, Ubuntu for Servers is also a good option. Fedora is also good for servers and has good forum support.

I have to vouch for the latest Kubuntu (love it on the laptop), and Fedora 9.

My first Linux was Ubuntu. After Ubuntu I tried Sabayon, but Sabayon has problems with updating etc. BTW I use my Linux for a desktop-pc, not for a server. Hmm, maybe, I should take a look to Mint or Mepis, and try these ones. Thank you all very much for your reactions.
