Subject: Which Distro?

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and I wanted to try something different.

Which distro do you Suggest?

The question is what are you looking for?

Personally, I love Gentoo. It has a steep learning curve however, and really isn't for most people. There is a fork of it tho that is supposed to be more user friendly: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/

For ease of use I would recommend any version of Ubuntu, however for use in a production/corporate environment I'd recommend either Centos (community supported Red hat server) Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop.

Fedora if you're looking for something user-friendly (and it probably has better KDE support, can't confirm this though).

Debian if you're looking to go to something a little more advanced. This is the path that I took.

What are you looking for? What didn't you like? I personally don't like Gnome (the default desktop enviroment ib Ubuntu), so I use Kubuntu (it comes with KDE), you could try that.

I you still want to try something else, get Mandriva.
