Subject: Low screen resolution, please help

hi guys...

i am running fedora 8, and i have a slight problem with changing my screen resolution.
I first thought it is my GPU, but got drivers for it, and still couldn't change my resolution, i went to system-administration-display and next to screen it just says syncmaster(auto configured), i tried changing it to generic LCD 1440x900, then it says i must restart, i do it, but when rebooted, it stays the same, at 1152x864.

can anyone please tel me where i can find drivers for my samsung 932gw monitor?

thanks

On top of that, when you're doing this kind of stuff, you don't need to actually 'restart' your machine. You only need to restart the X server. Easiest way to do it is CTRL+ALT+Backspace

Just a quick timesaver for you. :)
