Subject: Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring

I need help Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring isn't downloading onto my computer.

So do I buy the CD or how can I get a good download on the internet.

Here is the download page, you select you country (or the closest one to you). In the USA i had very good download times from gatech (Georgia Tech)

Ok, maybe you downloaded an iso file. this file is an image that you need to tranfer to a CD (or DVD , depending what you chose). And then boot your computer from this CD/DVD. You will need a CD/DVD burner drive and software. Here are some instructions also from the mandriva site, I hope this helps:

Gnome and Kde are graphical environments and Console is just a simple text command line. Gnome a KDE can get the same job done but usually in different ways, it is just a matter of taste, but if you just come from using ms-windows then I think you will be more comfortable using KDE. But then again, if you have enough disk space, why not install and try them booth?
