Subject: onboard sound issues

Emachines T6532
Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHZ
2GB RAM
200GB SATA
Linksys Wireless G NIC

Kubuntu 8.04 64bit version with KDE3

the onboard sound is a Reltek Audio AC97 chipset
I thought it was automatically picked up however when I tried to check the config but it said that there was no audio drivers loaded.. anyone who can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The open sound System supports any AC 97 codec based Sound Card, how ever you might want to look into getting a Sound blaster 24 bit sound card.
