Please help me someone! I have the standard ASUS eee pc, with xandros linux. I have absolutely no idea how to use linux. I have a mini digital camera (one of the small ones, the size of a credit card attached to a key ring). I have a USB connector and need to download the pictures on to the computer. I don't know how to it. When I plug in the USB into the computer, the camera lights up indicating it has been plugged in, but the computer shows nothing like it doesn't detect anything at all.
I have been reading other stuff on the web and it says that gphotos will let me do it.
I know I have libgphoto2 somewhere inside linux, but don't know how to use it or open any files other than the ones on the Easy mode screen. What I need to do with libgphoto2?
I am an absolutely newbie to linux, so I don't know how to do complicated stuff like scripts and typing in commands in the shells.
Can someone please help me and explain to me step by step how to open gphotos and then how to get my photos off the mini digital camera and onto the computer. I just need them on the computer so I can save it. I don't need to to adjust or change the photos.
My mini digital camera can only take 20 photos and I want to take it on holidays, so need to download it to the eee pc each time it gets full. Hope there is someone out there who can help me. Thanks.
