BusyBox Developers and Supermicro Agree to End GPL Lawsuit

The Software Freedom Law Center (SFLC) today announced that an agreement has been reached to dismiss the GNU General Public License (GPL) enforcement lawsuit filed by SFLC against Super Micro Computer, Inc. on behalf of two principal developers of BusyBox.

While I'm not happy that SuperMicro didn't do the right thing right away when notified by BusyBox developers brought their concerns to Supermicro, I'm very happy that this case didn't have to go to trial and it was settled in under two months (filed second week of June).

I've been a fan and happy customer of SuperMicro for a few years now, and I'm glad they did the right thing...
